Latest Ubuntu update includes GNOME 2.20, with this new version you have this new tab:

If you own a laptop you will care about this new feature, of course to forget about editing xorg.conf
Update: By the way, latest Compiz update rejects to use my Intel-based video card, follow the compiz wiki the disable the blacklist.
When I started the current version of MonoUML.ReverseEngineering, Rodolfo suggested me to check Mono.Addins, well now I’ve done so. Mono.Addins is a library written by Lluis Sanchez to allow easy addin-like systems development, for example, MonoDevelop is currently using this library.
So what’s the relation with MonoUML? Well, right now, I’m starting to define the Core of the library that will be used for an addin-like system, of course using Mono.Addins, to change the current MonoUML implementation into an addins system. My ideas are the following:

Of course, this my first draft and changes may be without any warning. I have to define the signature of each interface trying to define the most generic ones. I will start changing MonoUml.ReverseEngineering component to this new effort.
I think this will be the biggest change on the MonoUML Architecture defined years ago. Read the Blueprint for more information.
El LoCo de Ubuntu ya esta en México, y vamos por buen camino.

Yesterday upgraded to Gutsy Gibbon and I have to say that… upgrading wasn’t that “clean” as usual (I know it’s a development version) upgraded kernel seems to do “weird” things on the background then returned to older kernel, some “visual changes” include the newest Appearance application,

And of course the replacement of gaim with pidgin,

Great software

I’ve bought a Lifeview FlyVideo 3000 FM TV Card. Setting up was not difficult at all, you will only need to follow this webpage and this webpage, basically
I added:
options saa7134 card=2 tuner=43
to /etc/modprobe.d/saa7134
Using saa7134 kernel module and installing tvtime did the trick.

And yes the Remote Control works.
By the way, yesterday while playing soccer I hurt two of my hand fingers and today both are hurting like hell, I can’t close fist. It hurts so bad. Saddest thing is I can’t type at all

I’ve been playing with Feisty since two weeks ago, there aren’t any big changes other than improved performance and better desktop integration, however today after power the PC on my Xorg wasn’t unable to start, the well known Screen not found problem. The process is the same as used with Edgy, I even noticed that there’s a newer update (21th December) in the Nvidia drivers.
Now am using the most recent Ubuntu-packaged kernel image with Beryl on Feisty using the Flatlooks Beryl theme.

I finally decided to compile and install NVidia Beta driver, because free-one is too slow, I followed a HOWTO found in Beryl’s forum and now everything works nice and smoothly.

I’ve got, finally, my nVidia GeForce 5500 video card and yesterday set it up to allow using those fancy 3D efects with Beryl, the already-known rotating cube, shaking windows while hiding, popuping windows while showing are now working. I spend at last 3 hours setting it up, most of the problems where related to version mistmatch between nVidia Xorg modules and nVidia kernel modules, however after installing -generic kernel image everything seems to work.
I still need to set more features to Xorg to improve its performance.

I’ve recently updated my Ubuntu desktop, after downloading at least 500MB I’m running it, and yes, works pretty nice.

In my opinion its visual best, better visual.
